Since we are not yet officially integrated with Vera, the Dome Mouser is recognized out of the box in Vera as a Motion Sensor (see figure 1.) To pair, click "Add a Device" in the Devices section, search for “Generic Z-Wave Devices” and label it to help tell it apart from actual motion sensors. After it’s paired, it will appear as two separate devices in your dashboard (figure 1) - be sure to rename both to keep yourself organized. The sensor will normally appear to have “no motion" when the trap is empty and will have “motion" when the trap is tripped. You can use the Mouser's status as triggers in your scenes to receive notifications or do something else when the trap is tripped .
Fig 1 - How the Mouser appears in Vera when tripped.
Fig 2 - How the Mouser appears when configuring a scene in Vera. Be sure to select the correct device - by default the device holding the Mouser’s tripped status is the one with the motion sensor icon, on the right in this example. To trigger the scene when the Mouser is tripped, configure the scene to trigger when the mouser “detects motion”.
